Retrospective thoughts on my writings about this blog’s posts

Metadiscourse talks about how people talk (or write). I have engaged in metadiscourse about this blog several times (See my posts of Sept. 22, 2005 about my difficulties in assigning posts to categories; June 16, 2007 about not adding hyperlinks to my cross-references; and Sept.18, 2007 about humor.).

I have asked for questions and submissions (See my post of Aug. 10, 2007 and an unsuccessful contest.) and implored readers not to lurk and remain silent (See my post of Oct. 26, 2007.)

A few times I have shared my thoughts on the content and development of this blog (See my posts of Nov. 5, 2006 on various ways I think about its concepts; Oct. 16, 2006 about its value in three dimensions; March 4, 2007 on what Technorati says about this blog; Dec. 5, 2007 on my pride in this blog; Feb. 20, 2006 at the one year and 1,000 posts mark; Feb. 20, 2007 at two years and 2,000 posts; Jan. 4, 2008 on the disappearance of posts on writing well; and Jan. 4, 2008 on third-order information.). Stepping back, I have noted weaknesses of this blog (See my post of Dec. 5, 2007.).
