Spreading CLE knowledge to the rest of the law department

It makes sense to me that if a legal department pays for one of its lawyers to attend a CLE conference, that lawyer should have an obligation to summarize the material from the conference, or write a précis of the salient points, or put a PDF on the intranet – anything to spread that one lawyer’s knowledge to others.

One prod for disseminating CLE materials and advice is to reimburse the lawyer for the expenses incurred only if and when the lawyer contributes to the pool of knowledge of the department.
