The plenitude of associations for in-house lawyers

The Corporate Counsel Women of Color – an New York-based networking association of approximately 1,500 minority in-house counsel, figures prominently in a a survey of diversity, the results of which are published in InsideCounsel, Oct. 2006 at 56 et seq. An in-house association of the same gender, the FEW&E General Counsel Network is part of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Executives.

I also include from Met. Corp. Counsel, Vol. 14, Oct. 2006 at 62, La Asociación Nacional de Abogados de Empresa in Mexico, the Hong Kong Corporate Counsel Association, the Corporate Lawyers of New Zealand, the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association, and the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association (CCCA), with its 8,000 members (See my posts of Dec. 19, 2005 about the Commerce & Industry group in the UK; and Aug. 26, 2006 about ECLA, the confederation of national associations of company lawyers in Europe.). The International Bar Association also has an in-house arm.
