The rebranded Ethics and Compliance Officer Association

The former Ethics Officer Association (See my post of Jan. 17, 2006 with some of its standards.) has enlarged its embrace and accordingly its name. Now called the Ethics & Compliance Officer Association, its membership numbers over 1,000, many of whom are probably general counsel.

There are consultants that help companies manage legal and reputational risk, build sustainable compliance programs, and nurture cultures of integrity, such as Compliance & Ethics Solutions www.callces.com. An informative article, found in Corp. Counsel, Vol. 14, Oct. 2006 at 50 and available from Steven Lauer of Integrity Interactive Corporation, describes in broad brush how to conduct a compliance risk assessment.
